A house with a history

The Alumneum is a house with a long history. You see it in the old mural paintings. Or in the holes in the roof beams which show that they have been rafted to Basel in the 17th century. Or in the very old, broad copper beech in the garden.

Sometimes you think you feel an atmosphere grown and matured during all those years, an atmosphere of committed studies, of great respect of one another, of the world, of God.
